It is hard to believe that my term as editor will soon be over. It has been an eventful 3 years. Perhaps the most significant change has been the on-line submission of manuscripts for peer review, known as Manuscript Central. This change occurred in the middle of my term, so I feel that I am very familiar with both systems and I would have to say that the change has been good. It was a little difficult at first because some manuscripts were in the middle of the review process. So, the first review was in a file in the journal office and the resubmitted paper was on the web. The worst part was that the manuscript numbers did not match, so it was a little tricky keeping the manuscript revisions together. Now, we have made it through the transition period, and the new process seems to be working well.
