To welcome in 1999, LSHSS has a new look. Over the years, the size and design of LSHSS have changed. The decision to alter the cover design beginning with this issue came as a recommendation from the editor and associate editors to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Publications Board, who must approve changes of this kind. The rationale for this recommendation derived from an important recognition: LSHSS is the only ASHA journal that is dedicated solely to research, clinical, and professional topics pertaining to children and adolescents in the educational setting.
