This issue represents a changing of the guard, which, given the previous editorial board, is a daunting task. My transition to Editor has been easier than I expected because of the constant and exceptional help provided by outgoing Editor, Brian Goldstein. I am very much indebted to him. As I move into this role, I feel privileged to be working with an outstanding group of new Associate Editors. It is my pleasure and honor to introduce these individuals and to tell you a little about them (and me):
Peter Flipsen Jr., PhD, CCC-SLP, S-LP(C) (BSc in Speech Pathology and Audiology, University of Alberta; MA in Speech Pathology, Michigan State University; PhD in Communicative Disorders, University of Wisconsin–Madison). After several years as a clinician on the Alaska Highway in my native Canada, I retooled for an academic career. I now research early speech development in children with cochlear implants and speech and language acquisition of children acquiring Appalachian English. I live in Knoxville, Tennessee where I enjoy life with my wife and two cats and dabble in home renovations.
